Fruit of the Spirit

Love, joy, peace and more: the harvest the Spirit grows in a believer's life

The fruit of the Spirit names the moral virtues the Holy Spirit produces in believers, listed in Galatians 5:22–23 as love, joy, peace, and the qualities that follow. The image of fruit suggests these are not self-generated achievements but the natural growth of a life rooted in the Spirit. Christians across traditions point to them as signs and evidence of the Spirit's transforming presence within the believer.
