Last Judgment

At the end of the age, Christ returns to judge the living and the dead

Christians confess that at the close of history Christ will return to judge all humanity. Drawing on Jesus' parable of the sheep and the goats and the vision of the great white throne in Revelation, the creeds affirm that he will come to judge the living and the dead. This final reckoning gathers every person before Christ and brings God's justice and mercy to their ultimate completion.
