Power of Will (Icchā-Śakti)

The third power: the first stirring of 'let it be' — pure will before knowledge or act.

Icchā-śakti is the power of will — the first faint stirring of 'let it be' by which consciousness leans toward expressing itself. Before anything is known in detail or acted upon, there is this pure impulse, the seed of intention. In the unfolding of any experience it comes first: the spark of wanting or willing that precedes both clear knowledge and concrete action.
