Both texts refer to Netzach and Hod as a paired dyad with specific functions. Text 1 (Etz Chaim) treats them as structural components within a geometric arrangement (ربע) of combined divine names, listing them alongside Chesed and Gevurah in an integrated sephirotic system. Text 2 (Zohar) emphasizes Netzach and Hod as 'two legs' (תְּרֵין שׁוֹקָהָא) - a metaphorical embodiment - and identifies them as 'two prophets' (תְּרֵין נְבִיאִים) who give birth to messianic figures. Text 1 focuses on numerical and nominal integration; Text 2 focuses on prophetic function and generative capacity. Both accept the pairing but differ in what aspect of their relationship is foregrounded.
