Parthenius of Nicaea (active mid-1st century BCE) was a Greek poet and scholar who was brought to Rome and is credited with helping to introduce learned Alexandrian-style poetry to Roman writers. His best-known surviving work is a prose collection of love stories drawn from myth and legend, compiled as source material for a Roman poet.
