Daily Birkat Kohanim (Sephardic vs Ashkenazi Frequency)
The priests' blessing of the congregation (Birkat Kohanim) is performed at very different frequencies by different communities: in the Land of Israel and among Sephardim the kohanim bless the people every day, while in much of the Ashkenazi diaspora the full ceremony is reserved for festivals. The custom reflects both local history and differing views on how to honor this special moment.
