Ascension of Christ
The risen Christ exalted bodily to reign at the Father's side
The Ascension is the bodily exaltation of the risen Christ into heaven, where he reigns at the Father's right hand. Narrated in Luke and Acts and confessed in the Apostles' Creed, it marks the completion of his earthly ministry and the beginning of his heavenly reign. Christians across the traditions affirm it as the moment Christ is enthroned in glory while remaining present to his Church.
