Divine Omniscience

Nothing is hidden from the God to whom past, present and future lie open

Divine omniscience is the teaching that God knows all things, whether actual or merely possible, and across past, present and future alike. Rooted in the New Testament's testimony to a God before whom nothing is hidden, and developed by Augustine, it holds that God's knowledge is complete and unfailing. His knowing does not depend on learning or discovery, for all things lie open before him.
