Tattva 26 — Generation (Upastha)
The power to generate: the subtle faculty of procreation, last of the five powers of action.
Upastha is the capacity for generation — the subtle power of procreation and of sexual pleasure, associated with the reproductive organs. The fifth and last of the action-faculties, it completes the set of powers by which the embodied self acts in and renews the world. As a tattva it is the generative power itself, distinct from the bodily organ.
