Shem Av (The 72-Numerical-Value Expansion)
The highest, most abstract of the four expanded Divine Names (numerical value 72) — the pure, undivided will of the Infinite, belonging to the highest spiritual world, Atzilus.
Kabbalah counts four "expansions" of the Divine Name, and AB is the most abstract of them. (AB is its Hebrew label; its letters add up to 72 — a calculation called gematria.) It is the overarching, undivided will of the Ein Sof, the Infinite, with nothing defined beyond that bare will — like the pure sense of "I" that is distinct from infinity itself. AB belongs to the highest of the four spiritual worlds, Atzilus. A trace of this purest creative power is present in every level of creation, and it is these scattered traces (288 of them, AB times the four worlds) that make all repair possible.
