Dikna (The Sacred Beard — 13 Tikkunei Dikna)
The "beard" of the highest configuration — a Mashal for the pure, undefined mercy that flows down through every level, manifesting as the 13 Attributes of Mercy.
The Dikna, the "beard" of Arich Anpin, is the imagery for the pure, undefined power from the highest part of the system that flows *downward* into the more-defined levels (a "beard" goes down and affects what is below, unlike "head-hair," which diffuses upward). It is always present at every level, softening the harshness of the boundaries we experience as physical reality. In creation it manifests as the 13 Attributes of Mercy — and its two most actively expressed strands, "Preserving Kindness" and "Cleansing Sin," are the two highest, ever-accessible channels of mercy and love (the "Trein Mazlin").
